Hiatus

Hey readers. Come on, sit down. No, this isn’t an April fools joke. (I made this same post a week ago on the Tumblr.) You might have noticed that the past couple updates haven’t really gotten out on time.

Since the end of January, I’ve been super stressed out between my dayjob, working on this comic, travelling home to deal with family issues nearly every weekend, and desperately trying to get a few other projects back into motion (mainly @buffbabeszine) before my life will be in (planned) turmoil from at least mid April to end of May. The pressure from everything has been rendering me unable to get my hands and brain to focus long enough to make the pages, even when I set time aside to work. I desperately need a mental break. Or just to work on something that isn’t this comic, really.

I also would really like to script it out more beforehand, as I’ve had to write out dialogue quite often on or right before I pencil the page and end up more dissatisfied than not. There’s two key elements that still have to be set in motion and they MUST be written with the nuance they need. I want this comic to be good, and I want to take the time to make it that.

Also last week, my car was severely damaged by ice from that snowstorm that swept up the east coast of the US, and I need to pay off the rental and repairs. I’m planning to open up commissions to come up with the money, and will be posting the details of that soon if you would like to commission me. Please also consider pledging to my Patreon if you would like to help out.

As it stands, I’ll be finishing up the next pages to finish out the scene with Rathbone and Frei. The comic will return the first weekend in June. There’s a small chance of an update sometime mid-May, but I wouldn’t count on it.

Thank you guys for being great readers over the past two years. All your comments and encouragement has meant so much to me.

If you want to keep up with me until then, you can find me on Twitter.

May your sails stay full,

-Noella
